The Student Activities Department of Mason City Schools seeks instructors and monitors for its elementary after-school programs.

The department offers a wide range of After School Enrichment Programs for students in grades 1-6 - ranging from coding, crafts, languages, music, and sports. Individuals who would like to teach additional art classes, robotics, computer programs, sports programs, or other ideas should consider applying.  "We are looking for people who have age-appropriate interest and talents to lead our classes.  All creative ideas are welcome!" said Kim Dunnigan, ASEP Coordinator.

After-School Enrichment is offered throughout the school year in four week sessions. Each session is offered one afternoon per week for 1.25 hours per week.  Instructors are paid a set amount per student and given a budget to cover any expenses involved in the class.

The department also need monitors/assistants at the Mason Early Childhood Center, Western Row Elementary and Mason Intermediate School.  Monitors oversee all of the After School Enrichment classes, help instructors with their needs, assure students are signed-in each afternoon. and dismiss the children at the end of the afternoon, making sure all children are matched up with their guardians.  Monitors/assistants are paid a set amount each afternoon.
