Celebrate Black History Month by “Honoring the Journey” on 2.11.19 On Monday, February 11, 2019 join your neighbors in celebrating Black History by "Honoring the Journey." From 6-7:00pm, learn more about prominent African-American artists and their works, and view works submitted by students and community members at a special CommUNITY Art Exhibit in the Mason High School Learning Commons (formerly known as the Media Center.)

From 7-8:00pm, join a panel discussion with prominent local leaders as they highlight their journeys. Panelists include Crystal Kendrick, President of The Voice of Your Customer, Andi Johnson, Community Relations Director for the LifeCenter, Rob Robinson, CEO of ConnXus, and Ellen Price, Miami University Printmaking Professor. Event Sponsored by Mason City Schools Diversity Council. Art/poems need to be submitted to blackhistory@masonohioschools.com by February 4th. Chosen pieces need to be delivered to MHS by Feb. 8.
