ESL Program

Mason’s ESL program is for those students who have a language other than English spoken in their home and have not yet acquired the English language needed for academic success. When parents register their child for school they are required to fill out a home language survey. If this survey indicates a language other than English is spoken in the home the student will be screened to determine their English language proficiency level. If their level is less than proficient the student will be offered ESL services. It is the parent’s right to accept or deny ESL services.
