Mason High School senior Mariam Soliman was recognized as The Kiwanis Club of Mason's January Student of the Month. Soliman was nominated by MHS Sports Medicine teacher Mark Sullivan.
“Mariam is a wonderful, hardworking, & conscientious individual! She was one of the hardest workers in my Sports Medicine class. Mariam is an intelligent, capable, and personable young woman. She is always quick on her feet, and capable of handling any situation with thoughtfulness and maturity. She has a very bright future!” shared Sullivan. “Mariam is heavily involved in her schooling, volunteering and Sunday school teaching, and also a team manager on our girls’ varsity Basketball team. She does it all!”
Soliman plans on attending the Ohio State University in the fall, and hopes to become a physician's assistant. She is the team manager for the girls' varsity basketball team, and an active member of the newly formed Med Club.
On January 21, the Kiwanis Club presented Soliman with $50 and a certificate commemorating her achievement. Soliman’s father, Ashraf Soliman , assistant principal Kevin Mays, and nominating teacher Sullivan joined the Kiwanians in recognizing Soliman’s accomplishments. The Mason Kiwanis Club meets weekly at noon at the Houston Restaurant in Mason.
