Peter and the Starcatcher is a brand new play based on a novel from humorist Dave Barry and Ridley Pearson. Adapted for the stage by Rick Elice, it tells the origin story of Peter Pan and Captain Hook and how they became the eternal enemies made famous on stage and screen. The show was performed at Playhouse in the Park just a year and a half ago, and was the hit of the season. Mason High School Theater is proud to present as the regional educational premiere of the play. Staged in the intimate studio theater, seating is reserved to 180 seats per performance, and no audience member is more than 12 feet from the action. Peter and the Starcatcher is PG rated and contains some mild innuendo and salty pirate language . It is suitable for all but the youngest of audience members.
Peter and the StarCatcher features a cast of twenty three Mason High School students and features Drew Stidham as the Boy who becomes Peter Pan, Katie Kenniston and the infamous pirate, Black Stache, Kayla Stroud as Molly, Spencer Walsh as Smee, Alberto Morales and Megan Ledford as Lost Boys, Matt Berman as Mrs. Bumbrake, Michelle Guiot as Alf, and Collin Aldrich as Fighting Prawn. The production is Stage Managed by Jazmin Tangi and Assistant Directed by Corinne Mattingley. The play is produced by special agreement with Music Theatre International.
