The Student Activities Department of Mason City Schools provides After School Enrichment Program (ASEP) opportunities for students attending grades first through sixth.
A wide range of After School Enrichment Programs are offered, and topics range from languages, music, crafts and sports. The ASEP is currently looking for those who have age-appropriate interest and talents to lead new programs. Some suggestions are, but not limited to:
Grades 1 through 6
- Cake/Cupcake Decorating
- Balloon Creations
- Magic
- Rubik Cubes
- K’Nex
All of your creative ideas are welcome!
Monitors and assistants are also needed to coordinate the activities each afternoon in all buildings. Monitors are paid $25 per day.
The majority of After-School Enrichment classes are offered throughout the school year sessions. However, this schedule can be modified to suit the needs of individual programs and instructors. Instructors are paid a set amount per student and are given a budget to cover any expenses involved in the ASEP class.
