579 MHS Students Earn Perfect Attendance: 12 MHS Students Awarded GCCU Cash

The world is run by those who show up, and over 579 Mason High School students are well on their way to running the world!

During MHS's first semester, 579 students were at school every day and earned a chance to win cash from the Greater Cincinnati Credit Union.  This marks the tenth year that GCCU has sponsored the Perfect Attendance Program at MHS.  Russ Henry from GCCU presented $100 to each of the honorees. The company donates $1,200 each semester for twelve students who maintain perfect attendance. GCCU also provides lunch to the winners and their guests during the awards ceremony, which was held on Tuesday, December 8.

The second semester’s twelve GCCU winners were freshmen Joseph Koenig, Kait Mechler and Alexander Staikov, sophomores Jack Li, Emily Luria and Adam Schrand, juniors Mihir Kotian, Andrew Stocker and Summer VonStein, and seniors Rasha Adwani, Katelyn Bill, and Joshua Damge.

Also present to congratulate the students and their parents were Interim Principal Dave Hyatt and representatives from the Warren County Magistrate office, Andrew Seivers and Robert Taliffero.
