ACT (grades 7-12)

The ACT Assessment System provides students and parents with detailed information on students’ progress toward readiness for college-level work. Our district uses the following series of assessments to measure student growth, provide feedback on progress, and help students and parents make decisions about course selections, support programs, and enrichment opportunities:

ACT Test
The leading US college admissions test will be given to all student in the spring of their junior year beginning in 2017. This test measures what students have learned so far in high school and is an indicator of academic readiness for college. Scores can be used to support college applications at a number of state and private institutions.

All sophomore students will be given the opportunity to take the PreACT. This assessment helps them practice for the ACT test experience and empowers them with valuable data and insights.

ACT Aspire
This computer-based assessment given in 7th, 8th, and 9th grade helps track student progress toward readiness for college against grade-level benchmarks. It provides helpful information on areas of strengths and areas for growth that inform course selections, support, and enrichment programs.
