Kindergarten registration for the 2017-2018 school year will begin in the early spring of 2017. Registration packets are available for pickup at the Mason Central Administration Office, the Mason Early Childhood Center, or downloadable online after filling out the pre-registration form. Once the packet is complete with all required documents, please call to schedule an appointment to register with our Central Registrar at 513-398-0474 ext. 20141.
2017-2018 Kindergarten Registration Information
Kindergarten for the 2017-2018 school year will be
½ day programming with AM hours 9:10 a.m. - 11:55 a.m. and PM hours 12:55 p.m.
- 3:40 p.m. Your child’s session is determined by the address of your residence.
The finalized street listing will be posted on our website. We will also have the listing available at
our meeting on Feb. 23rd in order for you to confirm your child’s assigned
session. Bus pickup and drop off times
will not be available until late July.
If you are coordinating residential private child
care, you will need to stay within your residential assigned session for your
child to receive Mason bus service both to and from school. If a session change is desired, you will find
this form on our website. Click on the “Newcomer” star, then “Kindergarten
Registration”. You will find the form in the left column. Session changes will be granted,
by the principal, only if enrollment numbers allow. Your child’s transportation
may be affected as a result of a session change. Please keep this in mind as you arrange care
for your child.
Most public daycare centers within the Mason City
School limits receive bus service for both sessions. However, please be aware
that some daycares may be assigned a specific session due to their
location. This information will be
available on the street listing guide.
Registration for kindergarten will be held in the
MECC Gym on the following dates:
Thursday, March 16 from 6:00-8:00pm
Wednesday, March 22 from 6:00-8:00pm
At this time, completed packets will be returned
along with the following required
Proof of residency (lease, deed, settlement statement) or see **
Child’s original birth certificate or
Parent/Guardian driver’s license or state issued ID
Court Documents (if applicable), i.e. Custody, Shared parenting
Please be aware
that obtaining a birth certificate can take up to 6 weeks. Contact the Bureau of Vital Statistics in
Cincinnati, Ohio or visit vitalchek.com
if you do not have an original document. If the student was born in Ohio, you
may also obtain a copy of the birth certificate at the Warren County Health
Dept. in Lebanon, Ohio.
