William Mason High School once again made Newsweek’s list of the Top 500 high schools in the nation. MHS was one of 34 Ohio schools who made the 2015 list. Other Greater Cincinnati high schools include Indian Hill High School, Mariemont High School, Madeira High School, Turpin High School, Springboro High School, Sycamore High School, and Anderson High School.

“This is a very nice national recognition,” said Dave Hyatt, MHS Interim Principal, “but what we do in school every day is what I’m most proud of – to witness our hard-working students, our hard-working teachers on a daily basis… there’s no doubt that Mason High School is absolutely one of the very best schools in America!”

According to magazine’s website, the Newsweek High School Rankings assess schools based on a broad range of data to determine which institutions do the best job of preparing students for college. MHS also earned Newsweek’s special “star” indicating that Mason helps low-income students score at or above average on state assessments.
